Name: Ruth Butler

Biography: I grew up on the East coast where life was dominated by the sea and sailing, took the scenic route to Devon via the West coast of Wales, picking up a degree in Agricultural Botany on the way, and have remained at anchor in Exeter since the seventies. I abandoned science and ran a Middle East library, so I never dealt with much agriculture but met plenty of interesting people. Having survived parenthood and pets and escaped from employment; and with a garden that has room for no more agriculture than a growbag - I now have plenty more time to write.

We meet on the First and Third Thursday of the month from 6pm to 8pm at the St Sidwell's Centre, Exeter.
